Programme Content

The degree programme is designed to provide fundamental scientific and didactic knowledge of chemistry, including general, inorganic and analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, technical chemistry, and the History of Chemistry. Mathematics and an internship in physics are also included.


Structure

The teacher training programme is based on the Jena model, characterized by a five-month school placement semester in the fifth or sixth semester. Students complete 300 credit points (ECTS), studying two subjects of their choice, including subject didactics, with pedagogical qualification taking place in the educational sciences.
