Program Overview

Master in Education

The Master in Education is a 120-credit program offered by the Catholic University of Louvain. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of education and training, as well as the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in this field.

Common Core

Professional Focus

The Professional Focus component includes the following courses:

• LFOPA2113: Internship (250h) - Development of professional practices II (6 credits)
• LFOPA2114: Interpersonal communication and group management (5 credits)
• LFOPA2115: Teaching practices and training systems (6 credits)
• LFOPA2124: Integration, management and training workshops (4 credits)
• LFOPA2125: Development, management and evaluation of education and training projects (5 credits)

Research Focus

The Research Focus component includes the following courses:

• LFOPA2116: Research internship (I) (6 credits)
• LFOPA2117: Research seminar in educational sciences I (3 credits)
• LFOPA2126: Research internship II (6 credits)
• LFOPA2127: Research seminar in educational sciences II (3 credits)
• 12 credits of elective courses chosen from a list of available options
