Individualized Program (MA, MSc)
The Individualized Program (INDI) is a master's degree that allows students to design their own research goals in areas not covered by existing programs. Under the mentorship of a supervisory committee, students use concepts and methodologies from various fields to examine a unique research problem.

A master's degree in the Individualized Program (INDI) enables students to explore topics outside traditional research boundaries. Some examples of subjects that students are currently exploring include game studies, preventive health, and synthetic biology. Montreal's status as a hub for innovation and culture provides the ideal backdrop for students to tailor their own academic program and research goals.
Program Structure
- Degree requirements: Fully-qualified candidates are required to complete a minimum of 45 credits.
- Courses:
- 12 credits of coursework chosen from 600-level INDI study courses or from any regularly scheduled graduate courses with permission of the INDI Director.
- Students are required to complete a minimum of 9 credits in regularly scheduled graduate courses, including a research methodology seminar in their first or second year.

Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with high academic standing in a relevant disciplinary area or its equivalent.
- Proficiency in English: Applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate that their knowledge of English is sufficient to pursue graduate studies in their chosen field.
