Admission Requirements
A first bachelor's degree qualifying for professional work is required for admission, preferably in disciplines such as architecture, geography, landscape architecture, urban planning, civil engineering, environmental sciences, sociology, political or administrative sciences, law, or economics. A minimum of one year's relevant work experience in a professional field is also required. Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency, with a band score of 6 for IELTS or TOEFL level 79 or 550.
Program Structure
The master's program is a three-semester continuing education international master's degree. Courses take place in Berlin during the first two semesters, and the master's thesis is written in the third semester. The program covers core areas such as:

Internships

Stays Abroad
The first two semesters of the program are spent in Berlin, and students have the opportunity to spend the third semester abroad to do their internship and write their master's thesis.

The master's program trains students to be generalists with a thorough understanding of integrated urban management. Graduates are well-versed in topics such as urban economics, resource management, spatial justice, urban planning trends, critical urban planning, environmental protection, urban poverty, and the regeneration of historical urban areas.
