Public Health and Health Promotion MSc

Overview

The program focuses on developing students' understanding of the theoretical, conceptual, historical, and critical aspects of public health and health promotion. It covers a wide range of topics, including global public health, epidemiology, research and evaluation methods, health promotion intervention and design, economic evaluation of health interventions, and social inequalities and health.

Teaching and Learning

The program uses a range of teaching and learning strategies, including lectures, seminars, workshops, and online resources. Students will have access to a personal tutor and will participate in lecturer-led journal clubs and webinars on research-led public health and health promotion topics.

Assessment and Feedback

Students will be assessed on case studies, essays, presentations, written examinations, and a research dissertation. The assessment schedule, including assessment and feedback dates, will be provided at the start of the program.

Location of Study

The program is based at the Brunel University London campus, with some online components. Students will have access to a range of facilities, including libraries, computer centers, and student support services.
