St. Joseph's University & Jefferson College of Nursing Partnership Program

The St. Joseph's University and Thomas Jefferson University partnership program offers students from St. Joseph's University a guaranteed admission or a guaranteed interview into the Accelerated BSN Plus (ABSN+) 1-year or 2-year pathway leading to a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Program Overview

Designed for individuals with no prior nursing education, and who are on track to earn a Bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University, Jefferson's fully accredited BSN program provides an educational foundation for professional nursing practice. The program promotes continued intellectual inquiry by emphasizing the relationship between academic and clinical experience.

Program Details

• The program is designed for individuals with no prior nursing education.
• Students learn clinical skills in a risk-free, simulated-patient environment.
• Combined with clinical practice at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and other area clinical partner agencies, BSN students graduate with significant hours of clinical experience.

Partnership Guarantees

Guaranteed Admission Pathway

• Students who have earned a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.2.
• A minimum 3.2 science prerequisite GPA (sciences courses included in calculation).
• No more than one repeated or withdrawn prerequisite course.

Guaranteed Interview Pathway

• Students who have earned a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 2.8-3.19.
• A minimum 2.8-3.19 science prerequisite GPA (sciences courses included in calculation).
• No more than two repeated or withdrawn prerequisite course.

• The two ABSN+ pathways have the following deadlines:
  • Accelerated BSN Plus (ABSN+1) - 1 Year: February 15 Deadline
  • Accelerated BSN Plus (ABSN+2) - 2 Year: May 15 Deadline
