Program Description

The program provides a structured, supportive, and flexible learning environment for students to complete the necessary prerequisite coursework for a health professions program. After completing the pathway curriculum, students will transition either into the professional program they have chosen or into the Accelerated BS in Health Sciences.


Curriculum

The curriculum for each of the Health Professions Pathways programs will be dependent on the specific coursework required by the chosen professional program. The six pathway programs include:


  • Pre-Biotechnology
  • Pre-Cytology
  • Pre-Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences
  • Pre-Medical Laboratory Science
  • Pre-Nursing
  • Pre-Respiratory Therapy

Financial Aid

Students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are interested in receiving federal or state aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Undergraduate students must be enrolled in six credits per academic semester to be eligible for most financial aid.


Admission Criteria

It is preferred that Math and Science prerequisite courses be completed within 5 years of enrollment at Jefferson; coursework up to 10 years prior to the start date in the Professional Program will be considered.
