The program provides residents with a broad exposure to a large and diverse number of operative procedures, spanning the breadth of neurosurgery.

Department and Faculty
The Department of Neurological Surgery has grown to include over 25 faculty members, who are leading experts in their field. The department is renowned both nationally and internationally for its expertise in a wide range of neurosurgical pathology, including treatments for cerebrovascular disease, spinal cord injury, movement disorders, and complex cranial tumors.
Research and Scholarly Activity
The department has been successful in promoting research pursuits and scholarly activity, with a commitment to research that offers residents exposure to academic and scientific principles that will help define the future of neurosurgery. Residents are afforded their PGY-5 year to pursue research projects, and many of our residents produce publications throughout the course of their residency.
Resident Experience
The current resident cohort is a tight-knit group, with a high level of camaraderie amongst them. Senior residents provide personal and professional mentorship to juniors, facilitating both their personal and professional growth. The program is an operative program, with residents encouraged to get to the operating room early and often during their training.
Application Process
Applications are accepted only through ERAS, and the program participates in the National Residency Match Program.
