Why Pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Physics
The University of Texas at San Antonio offers two pathways to a Physics degree: a B.A. or B.S. Students can also earn a Minor in Physics and/or in Astronomy. The programs provide a comprehensive curriculum of advanced courses, including Classical Mechanics and Statistical Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Mathematical Physics, Astrophysics, and Space Physics, as well as advanced electives in various topics.
Admission Requirements
To declare a major in Physics, students must meet the university's general admission requirements. There are no additional admission requirements for this major.
Scholarships
The university offers various scholarships, including the Distinguished Scholarship, which is an automatic merit-based scholarship for incoming new freshman and transfer students who display exceptional scholastic achievement. The UT San Antonio Bold Promise is also available, which covers tuition and mandatory fees 100% for eligible students from low and middle-income Texas families.
