Admission Requirements
To major in Mechanical Engineering, students must meet specific admission requirements. Freshman and transfer students who do not meet these requirements but meet UT San Antonio's general admission requirements will be admitted into Engineering, Math, and Sciences Studies, where they can work towards meeting the prerequisites needed to declare their major.
- Freshman Admission:
- Direct Admission: Top 10% of high school class rank, no minimum test scores, and Calculus I Ready
- Direct Admission: Below top 10% of high school class rank, 1200 SAT or 25 ACT, and Calculus I Ready
- Transfer Admission:
- Direct Admission: Meet UT San Antonio's general admission requirements, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and completed specific courses with a C- or better
- College Review: Meet UT San Antonio's general admission requirements, have below a 3.0 GPA, and completed specific courses with a C- or better
