Candidate Criteria

Students successful in obtaining a place on the PhD program normally commence their research studies at the start of the academic year in September. However, it is possible to join the PhD program at an agreed date during the academic year.

Application Requirements

Applications should be submitted with the following supporting documents:

• Academic Transcripts and Degree Certificates: Copies of full academic transcripts from all previous academic degree courses and copies of degree certificates for degrees already awarded
• Research Proposal: A 5-8 page proposal containing an introduction, objectives, literature summary, research methodology, theoretical structure, and a provisional timetable
• English Language Requirements: Evidence of language proficiency, with a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 and no score lower than 6.0 in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening
• Funding Information: Confirmation of how the student intends to fund their studies
• References: Two academic referees, with names and contact details, including email addresses
