Parent and Family IntroDUCKtion

Orientation isn't just for students—parents and family members play a crucial role in the success of college students. We invite you to participate in Parent and Family IntroDUCKtion, a program designed to help you become familiar with resources for families and guide you through your student's orientation and transition process.


What's Included

Each in-person IntroDUCKtion session for fall incoming students includes a concurrent program for parents, families, and other supporters of new Ducks. Topics covered during the Parent and Family IntroDUCKtion program include:

Off-Site IntroDUCKtion

In addition to the on-campus sessions, we are hosting one IntroDUCKtion session this summer in Honolulu, Hawaii, in August.


Registration and Cost

Registration for in-person IntroDUCKtion sessions will open in mid-May. Students will complete their orientation registration through their admitted student portal. When your student registers for their in-person IntroDUCKtion session, their orientation fee includes one parent or family member at no extra cost. Capacity at our IntroDUCKtion sessions is limited but students may add one additional guest at the point of registration. The fee for additional guests is $125.


Program Details

The program is designed to support parents and family members in their role as supporters of new college students. It provides an opportunity to become familiar with university resources and to guide students through the orientation and transition process.
