Program Overview
Master of Accounting
The Master of Accounting program at the University of Oregon is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in accounting, preparing them for successful careers in the field.
First-Year MAcc Orientations
The MAcc program holds two orientations for incoming students. During these orientations, students learn about what is expected of them as MAcc students and meet their new cohort. The orientations mark the beginning of the repeated cycles of reaching, discovering, and achieving that define the Master of Accounting program.
May Mini-Orientation
The May Mini-Orientation is a half-day, optional but encouraged session. During this session, students receive an overview of the program, learn about course scheduling, explore how graduate school differs from undergraduate school, and meet with the college's career services team. Students also arrange meetings with staff during the summer to discuss resume revision and interview preparation.
September Orientation
The September Orientation is a four-day, required session held the week prior to the start of classes. Students reconnect with the career services team, participate in team-building activities with their peers and Lundquist College faculty, attend receptions with major recruiters, learn about accounting research and effective presentations, and more. Students and faculty also participate in a team-building event held offsite.
