The program is open to students of all academic standings, from freshman to graduate level, with a minimum GPA of 2.75. There is no language requirement for the program.

Dates and Deadlines
The program offers various terms, including Winter Quarter, Summer, Fall Quarter, and Spring Quarter. The deadlines for each term are as follows:
- Winter Quarter 2026: September 1, 2025
- Summer 2026: January 15, 2026
- Fall Quarter 2026: May 15, 2026
- Spring Quarter 2026: December 1, 2025
Academic Details
Students will enroll in two asynchronous courses: OGWI 188: Intercultural Communication (1 or 4 credits) and OGWI 488: Internship (8 credits). The courses are online and asynchronous, with no in-person lectures.
Housing Description
Students in London will stay in student residence-style housing located in Zones 13, with easy access to Central London via public transport. The housing includes amenities such as Wi-Fi, bed linens, laundry facilities, and a fully equipped kitchen, as well as 24/7 front desk security.
Budget and Price
The estimated program costs vary by term, but include:
- GEO Program Fees: Tuition & Fees (9 or 12 credits), Housing, UO Study Abroad Fee, Insurance
- Estimated Additional Expenses: Estimated International Airfare, Estimated Food and Personal Expenses, Estimated Local Transportation, Estimated Travel Nurse/Immunizations, Estimated Visa Fees, Estimated Cost of Obtaining Passport
Cancellation Policy
The GEO Cancellation Policy is effective from the time a student agrees to pay their non-refundable program deposit or electronically signs the program commitment form. The policy outlines the cancellation penalties, which vary depending on the date of cancellation.
Discount for Pell Recipients
To expand access to study abroad, GEO is offering a $500 discount for this program to UO students who currently have the Pell Grant as part of their federal financial aid (FAFSA).
