Program Overview
The Dankook University Exchange program offers students the opportunity to study Korean language and directly enroll in courses at Dankook University. Some classes in business and computer science are available in English. Students with a high level of proficiency in Korean language have the option to enroll in other subjects which are taught in Korean. Participants may also participate in group activities and excursions with other international students from all over the world.

Application Process
The application process for this program is competitive. GEO staff will review application materials, and a decision about enrollment will not be made until after the application deadline. In some cases, an interview is required.
Academic Details
Students can spend one or two semesters at Dankook University, choosing from regular university courses taught in Korean or a limited number of business or computer science courses in English. The Korean language courses at Dankook University's Global Education Center allow students to learn about both Korean language and culture.
Course Equivalencies
- UO students: please refer to the UO Course Equivalency Process and the UO Office of the Registrar Course Equivalency Database.
- Non-UO students: Actual credit awarded is determined by the relevant department at the student's university in consultation with the study abroad office.
Additional Requirements
- If students wish to take regular (Korean-taught) DKU courses, they must demonstrate sufficient Korean language proficiency.
Housing Description
Participants will be placed in a double-occupancy room at the on-campus dormitory, with modern facilities and a mix of Korean and non-Korean students. Facilities available in the hall include meeting rooms, a fitness exercise room, a snack shop, laundry facilities, and a dining hall.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation Date:
- Upon acceptance to the program: Student agrees to $500 non-refundable program deposit
- 8 weeks before program start date: Student is responsible for 50% of total GEO program fees
- Program start date or after program begins: Student is responsible for 100% of total GEO program fees
Discount for Pell Recipients
A $500 discount is offered to UO students who currently have the Pell Grant as part of their federal financial aid (FAFSA).
