6 Steps of Risk Management

The six steps of risk management are extensively covered in the Masterclass Risicomanagementcyclus. These steps include:

1. Doelen bepalen (Determining Goals): Strategic and operational organizational goals as a starting point for dealing with risks and opportunities.
2. Identificatie (Identification): Risk types, linking to (policy, organization, and departmental) goals, indicators, types of uncertainty and risk, methods, and the role of subjectivity.
3. Classificatie (Classification): Classification and instrumentation: risk analysis techniques, theory, and application, FMEA, introduction to big data analytics.
4. Beheersing (Control): Various options and approaches for effectively dealing with risks, including control through prevention, consequence reduction, contractual risk allocation, and resilience.
5. Evaluatie (Evaluation): Learning from risks, leadership and culture, the role of supervision and the supervisor in risk management.
