Program Overview
Introduction to the Lean Green Belt Program
The Lean Green Belt program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to solve problems and improve processes. Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to converse a perception in the real problem, carry out an analysis of the root causes, think of ideas to eliminate root causes, implement ideas, and provide insight into a process chain.
Program Objectives
The program objectives include:
- Acquiring knowledge and skills to solve a problem structure
- Understanding Lean theory and its application
- Learning various Lean tools and techniques
- Developing the ability to identify areas for improvement in a process chain
Program Content
The program content includes:
- Lean theory, interspersed with exercises
- Kaizen, VSM, 5S, and various elements to bring people into the change
- Three practical assignments to be completed between training days (expected effort: 24 hours)
- A final exam to assess participants' understanding of the material

The program is designed for employees and PhD students who are interested in the Green or Yellow belt course and want to support improvements in the UT organization.

Time
The program consists of 5 training days, 3 practical assignments (estimated 24 hours), and an assignment presentation and exam (4 hours).
Location
The program is held at the Vrijhof building.
Course Fee
The course fee is paid for by central funds, and participation is in consultation with the supervisor.
Maximum Participants
The minimum number of participants is 8, and the maximum is 13.

Requirements
Participants must have an agreement to accompany improvements in the organization after attending the training.
