  • Location: The program is hosted at the University of Twente campus.
  • Cost:
    • For students from Pre-U partner schools: 95 per student.
    • For students from non-partner schools: 125 per student.

Program Content

The program includes:

  • Designing, building, and testing a sustainable car using 3D model software.
  • Short lectures and a visit to the UT student team 'HyDriven' in the Future Factory to prepare students for designing their own sustainable car.
  • Applying the design cycle to create an efficient and sustainable car.

Requirements and Profile

  • Required Subjects/Profile: There are no specific required subjects for participating in this Science Lab. However, related school subjects include physics or research and design, and a related profile is NT.

Outcomes

Upon completion of the masterclass, students will be able to:

  • Name the pros and cons of different types of sustainable energy.
  • Identify factors important for an efficient car.
  • Explain the steps of the design cycle.
  • Have developed their own set of requirements for a sustainable car.
  • Describe the activities of the UT student team 'HyDriven'.
