What to Expect

• Program Content Discover the world of mini-laboratories during our masterclass at the University of Twente. Learn how scientists conduct experiments on a chip the size of a few centimeters. The revolutionary lab-on-a-chip technique is widely researched at our university. In the Pre-U Student Lab, you will have the opportunity to work with these small chips. By conducting practical experiments, you will learn how these chips work and the possibilities they offer for scientific research.

• After Completing the Masterclass
  • You will be able to explain what a lab on a chip is and provide examples of different applications.
  • You will be able to perform a practical experiment.
  • You will have learned how various physical and chemical concepts play a role in a lab on a chip.
  • You will have made a working chip and be able to explain how it works.
