Program Overview

Introduction to the Psychology Program

The Psychology program at the University of Twente offers two tracks: the Dutch track and the English track. Both tracks have different admission requirements and procedures.

Aanmelden Nederlandse Track

To apply for the Dutch track of the Psychology program, students must follow these steps:

  1. Application via Studielink: The application period is from October 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026 (23:59 CET). After April 30, it is no longer possible to apply.
  2. Completing the application: After applying via Studielink, students will receive an email with a link to OSIRIS, where they must provide additional information.
  3. Matching procedure: The matching procedure consists of two parts: a questionnaire and a matching activity. This procedure helps students determine if the Psychology program is a good fit for them.

Matching Procedure

The matching procedure is mandatory and consists of:

  1. Questionnaire: Students must complete an online questionnaire about their motivation and expectations.
  2. Matching activity: The matching activity takes place on the university campus and lasts an afternoon. Students will meet with teachers and future fellow students, get an impression of the atmosphere, and learn more about the program.

To apply for the English track of the Psychology program, students must follow these steps:

  1. Application via Studielink: The application period is from October 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026 (23:59 CET). After January 15, it is no longer possible to apply.

  3. Selection procedure: The selection procedure consists of three parts: an online matching assignment, an online Psychology (open book) test, and an online Methods & Statistics test.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure is used to assess whether the Psychology program is a good fit for the student. The procedure consists of:

  1. Online matching assignment: Students must complete an online assignment to evaluate and reflect on whether they are suitable for the Psychology program.
  2. Online Psychology (open book) test: Students will read study materials and complete an online open-book test to assess their understanding of scientific psychological literature.
