Pre-U Honoursprogramma

The Pre-U Honoursprogramma is a program offered by the Universiteit Twente, designed for students in grades 5 and 6 of pre-university education (vwo). The program provides extra challenges alongside the regular vwo curriculum, stimulating students to think critically and creatively.

Program Description

The program encourages students to explore unanswered questions and step out of their comfort zones, allowing them to further develop themselves. Over the course of 1.5 years, students attend weekly classes at the Universiteit Twente, delving into the philosophy of science and developing research and academic skills. In the final half year, all students complete a pre-bachelor thesis.

Awards and Recognition

The Wil Gradussen Award is presented to the student who has demonstrated the greatest personal growth within the program. This award recognizes the student's achievements and progress throughout the program.

Program Completion

Upon completing the program, students receive a diploma during a formal ceremony at the Universiteit Twente. The ceremony celebrates the students' achievements and marks the completion of the Pre-U Honoursprogramma.
