Program Overview

The Creative Technology program is a bachelor's degree offered by the University of Twente. The program is English-taught, including all literature, and is designed to prepare students for a university master's degree and positions in the development of high-tech applications.

Program Details

• The program builds on computer science, electrical engineering, and design, focusing on smart products.
• The academic skills taught in the program enable students to solve problems independently, pragmatically, and in a structured manner.

• The program has approximately 130 first-year students enrolled.

Curriculum and Courses

• The first year of the program devotes 20% of its courses to mathematics.
• The program includes courses that require students to work on projects, for which they need their own laptop computer.
• Additional expenses for the program include:
  • Arduino set: 35
  • Sketching materials: 65
  • Project expenses: 25 per quarter
  • Books: approximately 200 per quarter, or about 800 in the first year

Language and Support

• The entire program, including all literature, is English-taught.
• English at the Dutch pre-university level (VWO) or its equivalent is sufficient for the program.
• There is academic guidance available for students.

International Opportunities

• Students are encouraged to gain international experience while studying.
• International students may be able to apply for financial assistance in their home country to study Creative Technology at the University of Twente.
