Introduction to DesignLab Academy

DesignLab Academy is an initiative of DesignLab Universiteit Twente, offering educational programs focused on responsible future formation. The academy brings people together from various disciplines to work on positive changes for society, with a focus on 'Responsible Futuring'.

Responsible Futuring

'Responsible Futuring' is an approach that helps people from different backgrounds work together to solve complex social problems. It involves understanding the impact of new technologies and developing ideas for a responsible future. The goal is to create spaces where people can learn, collaborate, and use their imagination to shape an inspiring and responsible future.

Program Offerings

DesignLab Academy offers a range of programs, including:

• 1-day workshops
• 2-day masterclasses
• Customized in-company trajectories for organizations

These programs cover various themes, such as:

• Climate and sustainability
• Innovation and health
• The digital society

Workshop: "Richting een circulaire samenleving"

The first workshop, titled "Richting een circulaire samenleving" (Towards a Circular Society), will take place on June 10. The workshop will be led by DesignLab's research fellow Svenja Damberg and Julieta Matos-Casta˝o, who will share their valuable expertise.

Upcoming Masterclasses

In the fall, a masterclass on the future of AI will be organized, focusing on how to shape an inclusive, just, and 'more than human' society. Additionally, a workshop on health innovation is planned.

Tuition Fees

The cost for the first workshop, "Richting een circulaire samenleving," is 950. An early bird discount of 50% is available until May 1, 2024.
