Program Overview
Master of Clinical Psychology
The Master of Clinical Psychology is a postgraduate program designed to prepare students for a career as a Clinical Psychologist. The program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and meets the requirements for eligibility for full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and entry to the Registrar program for the area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology.
Program Overview
The program is offered full-time over two years, with the option to complete the second year part-time with approval from the Program Director. The program requires students to complete coursework, placement, and a research component.
Coursework Component
The coursework component consists of 90 credit points, covering topics such as:

Practicum Component
The practicum component consists of 60 credit points, including:

The research component consists of 10 credit points, covering Clinical Research.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the program is highly competitive and requires:
- A four-year accredited program in Psychology
- Academic achievement and intellectual ability
- Interpersonal and counseling capability
- A personal statement
- Support from referees
English Language Requirements
International students must meet the English language requirements, which include:
- IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 7.0, with a minimum score of 7.0 in each of the listening, reading, and speaking components, and a minimum score of 6.5 in writing
- Occupational English Test (OET): Minimum score of B in each of the listening, reading, and speaking components, and a minimum score of C+ in writing
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 94, with a minimum score of 24 in each of the listening, reading, and writing components, and a minimum score of 23 in speaking
- Pearson Test of English (Academic): Minimum overall score of 66, with a minimum score of 66 in each of the listening, reading, and speaking components, and a minimum score of 56 in writing
- Cambridge (C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency): Minimum overall score of 185, with a minimum score of 185 in each of the listening, reading, and speaking components, and a minimum score of 176 in writing
Tuition Fees
The indicative annual tuition fee for international students is $37,500.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the program will be prepared for work in government organizations, non-government agencies, private hospitals, and general practitioner practices. They may also seek to further their qualifications by enrolling in a higher degree by research.
Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning
Students may be eligible for credit based on their prior study or experience. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) to meet entry requirements is assessed at the time of admission.
Program Accreditation
The Master of Clinical Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
Professional Recognition
Graduates are eligible to apply for general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and for membership of the Australian Psychological Society.
