Program Overview

The Charitť Universitštsmedizin Berlin offers a three-year full-time training program for Medical Technologists in Radiology (MTR). The program combines theoretical and practical phases, teaching students the fundamentals of radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, and dosimetry.

Program Structure

• The program is divided into three years of full-time study.
• Students will learn about various medical imaging technologies, including X-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography (PET).
• The program includes both theoretical and practical training, with students working in different clinics and departments within the Charitť.

Admission Requirements

• Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent (Abitur or Mittlerer Schulabschluss).
• A medical certificate confirming the applicant's fitness for the profession is required.
• Proficiency in German (at least B2 level) is necessary.
• Applicants should have a strong technical understanding, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Previous experience in the medical field, social engagement, and a strong technical affinity are desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

• The training salary is based on the TVAŲD MTRA tariff agreement and increases over the three years of training:
  • 1st year: 1,215.24 Euros per month
  • 2nd year: 1,275.30 Euros per month
  • 3rd year: 1,372.03 Euros per month
• Additional benefits include a company pension scheme, a one-time payment for capital formation, and a bonus payment in November.
