Program Overview
Introduction to the 3T - Traumatic Arrest TeamTraining Program
The management of traumatic cardiac arrest is subject to specific objectives, as defined by current guidelines. The traditional cardiopulmonary resuscitation takes a backseat, and other, preferably parallel, partly invasive measures for correcting potentially correctable causes of cardiac arrest come to the forefront.
Program Description
The effective establishment of airway management, thoracic drainage, and bleeding control in conjunction with access management requires a coordinated team approach, which cannot be sufficiently trained in any available training format. After successful establishment of these measures, the discussion about the indication for peri-arrest thoracotomy and the training of this invasive measure on a non-fixed body donor remains.
