Program Overview

The "Empowerment for Diversity Alliance for Equal Opportunities in Healthcare" program strengthens critical perspectives on discrimination in medical education and practice. In cooperation with selected institutions, the program develops strategies to build diversity competence, make structural barriers visible, and initiate sustainable changes.

Program Details

• The program is an initiative of the Charitť Universitštsmedizin Berlin, funded by the Stiftung Mercator.
• The program aims to promote diversity and equal opportunities in the healthcare sector.
• It develops and implements strategies to address discrimination and promote diversity competence in medical education and practice.

Program Components

• An interactive network map that visualizes projects and institutions of the Empowerment partners and enables targeted contact.
• A free Open Educational Resources (OER) platform with podcasts, educational films, courses, and didactic materials.
• A low-threshold glossary that explains central terms related to diversity and anti-discrimination in an understandable way.
