Program Overview


Master Health Professions Education

The Master Health Professions Education is a program designed for individuals with a relevant bachelor's degree or comparable university degree and a professional license in a health care profession.


Application and Admission Procedure

Applications for the Master's programme Health Professions Education should be sent to the Office of Student Affairs. The application period is from 01.06. to 15.07. for the following winter semester.


Admission Requirements

Admission requirements include a relevant bachelor's degree or comparable university degree (at least 180 ECTS) as well as a professional license in a health care profession according to the admission statutes.


Bachelor's Degree or Comparable Degree Qualifying for a Profession

Prospective students with a university degree (bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 180 ECTS credits) in the following disciplines can apply for a place in the Master's programme in Health Professions Education:


  • Biosciences
  • Health Sciences
  • Nursing Science
  • Midwifery Science
  • Therapeutic Sciences
  • Human Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Pharmacy
  • or a comparable field of study At least 180 credit points according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) must have been acquired in the completed course of study. Of these, 150 ECTS must be assigned to subject-specific content that is oriented towards the learned profession.

Professional Qualification

In addition to the proof of the professional qualification of a university degree, proof of a professional license in one of the following health professions must be provided:


  • Geriatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Pharmacist
  • Physician
  • Dietician
  • Occupational therapist
  • health and pediatric nurse practitioner
  • Health care and nursing assistant

  • midwife or maternity nurse
