Progress Test Medizin

The Progress Test Medizin is a comprehensive assessment tool designed for medical students. The test is typically administered at the beginning of each semester and is offered digitally by all participating universities and faculties, albeit through different systems.

Ablauf

The test duration is 3 hours, during which students must complete all questions without any breaks, as the timer continues to run even in case of interruptions.

Upon completing the test, students receive extensive feedback in the form of a comprehensive knowledge profile. This profile answers key questions such as:

• How did I perform in this test?
• Where do I stand in comparison to others?
• How am I developing over time?
• What are my strengths and weaknesses?

The knowledge profile provides an overview of the student's performance, including:

• The number of questions answered
• The number of correct answers
• A comparison with peers
• The semester and size of the comparison cohort

For participants in the ePT:

• Self-assessment accuracy

This section focuses on the student's knowledge development over time, including:

• How questions of varying difficulty levels were answered
• A heatmap illustrating the student's performance across different progress tests, with questions sorted by difficulty

This part of the profile highlights the student's strengths and weaknesses in different subjects or organ systems, compared to their semester and university peers. It includes:

• A radar chart displaying the student's knowledge level in each subject
• Line diagrams showing the student's knowledge development over time in comparison to peers

The radar chart (Radargrafik) and line diagrams (Liniendiagramme) provide a detailed analysis of the student's performance, helping them identify areas of strength and weakness. The radar chart displays the student's knowledge level in each subject, with the lilac area representing their knowledge stand. The line diagrams show the student's knowledge development over time, with only subjects having a minimum number of questions in the test being displayed.
