Overview

Description

This training program is designed for all nursing staff who administer intravenous medications as part of medical delegation. The program focuses on providing participants with knowledge on the most common side effects relevant to daily patient observation after medication administration.

Objective

After successfully completing this training, participants will have knowledge of the most common side effects, interactions, compatibilities, incompatibilities, and contraindications relevant to the administration of intravenous medications.

Content

• Häufigste Nebenwirkungen, die unmittelbar nach der Applikation auftreten können (Most common side effects that can occur immediately after application)
• Kenntnisse zu den häufigsten Wechselwirkungen, Kompatibilitäten, bzw. Inkompatibilitäten und Kontraindikationen (Knowledge of the most common interactions, compatibilities, incompatibilities, and contraindications)
• Kenntnisse zu den einzelnen Lösungsmitteln zur Herstellung einer Kurzinfusion (Knowledge of individual solvents for the preparation of a short infusion)
• Kenntnisse zur Applikationsdauer und Geschwindigkeit (Knowledge of application duration and speed)
• Kenntnisse zur parenteralen Ernährung (Knowledge of parenteral nutrition)
• Kenntnisse zum Umgang mit/zur Pflege von zentral- und peripher venösen Verweilkathetern und Portsystemen (Knowledge of handling and care of central and peripheral venous catheters and port systems)
