Introduction to the Berlin Summer School for Integrative Medicine
The Berlin Summer School for Integrative Medicine offers physicians, nurses, healthcare professionals in the field of health promotion, and medical students an exciting insight into a wide range of therapies within the spectrum of Integrative Medicine, with a focus on conveying practical, experience-based knowledge.
Program Description
Through lectures and workshops led by experienced instructors, participants are introduced to the current state of scientific research, which is presented and critically discussed. The program covers areas such as phytotherapy and nutrition, osteopathy, traditional Chinese and Indian medicine, and mind-body medicine, with a strong application focus.
Program Structure
- The program includes several overview lectures and various workshops, allowing participants to choose their own areas of interest.
- Multiple integrative case conferences provide an opportunity for participants to discuss the practical implementation of treatments directly with experts.
- All lectures and workshops present and critically reflect the current state of scientific knowledge, highlighting areas where scientific evidence is already available, as well as those that are still largely based on traditional empirical knowledge.
Research and Networking Opportunities
A rich supporting program offers participants many additional opportunities for networking, exchange, and building connections. The founding of the Charitť Competence Center for Traditional and Integrative Medicine (CCCTIM) aims to provide innovative impulses in research, teaching, and continuing education, and soon also in clinical care.
