  • Solve complex technical problems that require innovation or research.
  • Make important decisions with strategic vision in professional fields.
  • Participate in doctoral courses in the field of information and communication technologies at the UPC, URV, UB, or abroad.

Competences

Transversal Competences

The transversal competences describe what a graduate should know or be able to do after completing the learning process, regardless of the degree. The transversal competences established at the UPC are entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainability and social commitment, knowledge of a third language (preferably English), teamwork, and proper use of information resources.

Specific Competences

  • Design and implement computer studies, including cost analysis and execution adjusted to available resources and existing procedures.
  • Solve information analysis needs of different organizations, identifying sources of uncertainty and variability.
  • Solve decision-making problems of different organizations, integrating intelligent tools.
  • Apply artificial intelligence techniques in technological and industrial environments to improve quality and productivity.
  • Design, write, and present reports on computer projects in the specific area of artificial intelligence.
  • Design new computer tools and new artificial intelligence techniques in professional practice.
  • Absorb and integrate changes in the economic, social, and technological environment into the objectives and procedures of computer work in intelligent systems.
  • Respect legal regulations and deontology in professional practice.
  • Respect the environmental environment and design and develop intelligent systems for environmental sustainability.
