Program Overview

Introduction to Research Projects

The Master MET offers 3 subjects that allow students to engage in research activities within research groups of the UPC, research institutes, or companies.

Research Project Enrollment

To enroll in these subjects, students must first agree with a professor on a research project. This is facilitated through an application located in the Intranet, which operates as follows:

  • Professors offer projects.
  • Students select as many projects as they wish.
  • The professor selects one student among those who have applied to their project.
  • The student selects one project among those that have chosen them, and the rest of the selections are automatically dropped to allow the professor to choose another candidate.
  • The student must enroll in the introduction to research subjects during the enrollment day or through e-Secretaria if the enrollment day has passed.

External Research Projects

If a student finds a research project outside the UPC, they should discuss or email the Vice-Dean Head of Studies of Masters in Telecommunications to evaluate the project and find a UPC tutor.
