Máster de Formación Permanente en Energía Eólica Marina

The Master's in Offshore Wind Energy is a pioneering program that accompanies the expansion of a key sector for sustainable energy transition. The program offers comprehensive and updated training in technology, design, and management of offshore wind farms.


Presentation

The program is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the offshore wind energy sector, including meteorology, aerogenerators, hydrodynamics, logistics, and environmental assessment. The program is taught in English and has a strong practical orientation.


Objectives

The objectives of the program are:


  • To apply in-depth knowledge of floating and fixed technologies.
  • To analyze advanced wind, wave, and current data to optimize offshore wind farms.
  • To interpret maritime, environmental, and energy regulations in depth.
  • To evaluate and select high-resistance materials in aggressive marine environments.

Target Audience

The program is aimed at professionals with a background in industrial engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or naval engineering. It is also suitable for professionals in the energy sector who want to specialize in the offshore wind energy field.


Program Structure

The program consists of 60 ECTS credits and has a duration of 13 months. The program includes:

  • Aerogenerator Technology (5 ECTS)
  • Operation and Control of Aerogenerators with Power Electronics (3 ECTS)

  • Foundation Technologies (5 ECTS)
  • Design and Optimization of Offshore Wind Farms (4 ECTS)
  • Logistics and Installation (5 ECTS)
  • Connection to the Grid and Integration of Offshore Wind Systems (5 ECTS)
  • Environmental and Social Assessment of Offshore Wind Energy (4 ECTS)
  • Final Project (15 ECTS)
