The Master's degree in Statistics and Operations Research is a comprehensive program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in statistical and operational research techniques. General Academic Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a Spanish degree or a degree issued by a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Access is also open to individuals with a degree awarded by a university in a country that is not part of the EHEA, provided the degree has been endorsed for a qualification in Spain giving access to a university master. If the qualification is not endorsed, it must be verified by the University that the studies relate to an educational level equivalent to the official Spanish university degrees, in the country of origin, for access to master studies.
Specific Requirements
Access to the degree course is open to individuals coming from various fields, including:
- Studies in Statistics
- Studies in Mathematics, Computer Science, or the field of Engineering
- Studies in the field of Economics and Business
- Studies in the field of Medical or Biological Sciences
Registration Process
The pre-enrolment process is done through a web application space available to candidates. Applicants must register, access the application, select the master's program they wish to apply for, and enter the required documents.

- Completed Degrees with academic year and overall grade average of each degree
- Academic Qualifications, completed or not, that the applicant wants to be taken into consideration
- Courses in statistics received, including qualification, number of semesters, and grade
- Operations research courses received, including title, number of semesters, and grade
- Experience or mention of the name of the company, profession, office, and work)
- Motivational letter
- Academic qualifications of degrees, completed or not
- Information on whether the applicant has requested a scholarship or plans to do so in the near future
- Indication of the pathway the applicant is most interested in:
- Business and social statistics (EMP)
- Biostatistics and Bioinformatics (BIO)
- Operations Research (IO)
- Data Science (DS)
- If the applicant has not made a choice, this should also be indicated
Selection Criteria
The selection criteria include:
- Academic record
- CV related to statistics and/or operations research, at professional, educational, or scientific level
- Knowledge of English (level B2 required)
- Expression of motivational letter
Recommendation
It is recommended that students be fully dedicated to the Master's program during the first semester. If students choose to combine studies with part-time work, it is advised not to enrol in all subjects.
Admissions
Admission to the program is provisional until the veracity of the academic data provided is checked. The admission resolution for the course and additional admission rounds will be published, and applicants will be notified accordingly.
