Program Overview
Introduction to the Double Degree Program
The Double Degree Program between the Universitat Politčcnica de Catalunya (UPC) and the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) offers students a unique opportunity to earn two master's degrees in two years. This program is designed for students who have completed their first year of master's studies at the UPC and wish to pursue their second year at the IIT.
Requirements for Admission
To be eligible for the Double Degree Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Have completed their first year of master's studies at the UPC
- Have accredited English certification (TOEFL 80 IBT or IELTS 6.5)
- Have received their bachelor's degree
- Have a minimum overall grade of 6.5 out of 10 (equivalent to a 3.0 to 4.0 GPA at the IIT) and in subjects related to the master's program at the IIT

There are 15 places available for this program among all master's programs at the EEBE.

The language of instruction for this program is English.
Study Plan
The study plan for the Double Degree Program involves completing the first year of master's studies at the UPC and the second year at the IIT. The second year at the IIT includes:
- 30 ECTS of compulsory courses in the first semester
- 6 months to develop a research project equivalent to the Master's Thesis (TFM) at the UPC, with a corresponding defense
