The Master's Degree in Sustainability and Strategies for a Just Global Transition (MUSE) aims to provide comprehensive training in sustainability, addressing the interactions between social, economic, and environmental systems in a transdisciplinary manner within a context of growing global complexity.
Program Overview
MUSE combines scientific and technical knowledge with social and governance approaches, promoting systemic impact analysis and informed, ethical decision-making. With a marked action-oriented focus, it prepares professionals capable of analyzing, designing, and implementing transformative strategies within planetary boundaries, in dialogue with diverse actors and considering local and international regulatory frameworks.
Curriculum
The master's degree combines theoretical training with practical experiences that connect sustainability with reality:
- Action-research workshops, applying sustainable methodologies to real cases.
- Field visits to learn about sustainable development and climate change adaptation projects.
- Collaborative projects with public administrations, companies, and third-sector entities.
- Participation in congresses and conferences, such as the Climate Conferences of the UNFCCC or the National Environment Congress.
- Master's Thesis in prestigious centers and institutions.
Target Audience
The master's degree is open to holders of a bachelor's or master's degree, both recent graduates and those in professional transition, from diverse areas of knowledge and university degrees, including:
- Engineering or equivalent degrees.
- Architecture and building construction, or equivalent degrees.
- Natural sciences and mathematics, or equivalent degrees.
- Social sciences, economics, and geography, or equivalent degrees.
