PhD Programme Regulations

The Network Engineering PhD Programme has approved the following regulations:


Specific Network Engineering PhD Programme Regulations

The requirements students must comply with in relation to the doctoral programme are specified in the UPC's Academic Regulations for Doctoral Studies.


Requirements Related to Admission of Students to the Doctoral Programme

To be eligible for admission, a student must hold an official Spanish bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and a master's degree. However, applicants who are in one of the situations referred to in sections d) to g) of Chapter 4 of the UPC's Academic Regulations for Doctoral Studies are also eligible for admission.


Eligibility Criteria

In all cases, applicants must have a minimum of 300 ECTS credits (or equivalent) for their bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as one of the following:


  • A minimum of 60 ECTS credits identified by the programme as an admission requirement, offered either by a master's degree associated with the doctoral programme or directly by the doctoral programme. Up to 45 of these 60 credits may be based on validations.
  • A master's degree in the same area of knowledge (ICTs), as determined by the academic committee of the doctoral programme.

Admission to the Doctoral Programme

The doctoral programme in Network Engineering offers a maximum of 8 places for newly admitted students each academic year.
