Program Overview


Improve the Design and Structure of Your Subject in ATENEA

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:


  • Learn about resources and advisory services to improve the design and structure of an ATENEA subject
  • Be aware of the importance of having a well-designed and organized course at ATENEA
  • Design a more usable and organized course so that the student knows at all times what to do, how, and when
  • Systematize tasks in order to develop a course in a more agile way
  • Promote the ethical use of information to ensure compliance with the Intellectual Property Law
  • Use interactive resources to make the course more motivating and participatory
  • Showcase accessibility tools to increase inclusion
  • Analyze the different options for hosting files in an institutional repository (Aprèn, Zonavideo UPC, UPCommons, etc.)

  1. Presentation of the ATENEA Point Libraries-ICE: advisory service to improve the design and structure of an ATENEA subject
  2. Practical examples of courses that have improved their structure and design. The before and the after
  3. Presentation and application of the recommendations included in the Guide to Good Practices for designing and structuring a course at ATENEA
  4. Copyright protection and hosting of teaching material in an institutional repository (Aprén, Zonavideo UPC, UPCommons, etc.)

Methodology

The training action combines theoretical and practical parts. The participation of attendees will be encouraged, as well as the resolution of any queries or doubts they may have about the topics presented.


The session material will be available on ARTEMIS.


Requirements: Have a subject at ATENEA. It is recommended to bring your own laptop.

Certification for participants will be subject to prior registration and acceptance by the established means (electronically through the website) and attendance at a minimum of 80% of the total hours of the activity. The teaching and research staff of the UPC who participates in the activity, a few days after the end, will automatically have the information in DRAC.
