Program Overview
Introduction to the FAST-IP Programme
The FAST-IP programme is a 12-month intensive entrepreneurial programme focused on enabling the next generation of start-up entrepreneurs and innovators in the AgTech area. This programme uses design-thinking methodologies and has a practical focus, aiming to equip participants with the skills to conduct needs-led innovation and develop market-validated solutions for the AgTech sector.
Programme Details
- Duration: 12 months, full-time, from August 2025 to July 2026.
- Location: AgTechUCD Innovation Centre at UCD Lyons Farm, Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
- Funding: Supported under the Innovators' Initiative Programme co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme.
- Scholarship: Successful participants receive a €38,000 tax-free scholarship, with programme fees of €9,000 covered for EU participants. Non-EU participants have a programme fee of €30,000, with €9,000 covered by the FAST-IP programme.
- Academic Qualification: Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a Graduate Diploma in AgriFood, Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Admission Criteria
To apply for the FAST-IP programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Level 8 degree and have 3 years of relevant work experience post-qualification.
- Alternatively, have 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Be available to commit full-time to the 12-month programme.
- Be able to attend in person, full-time, at the AgTechUCD Innovation Centre.
- Have a strong desire to discover unmet needs and develop viable commercial solutions.
- Possess entrepreneurial drive and a desire to start their own business post-programme.
International Applicants
International applicants are welcome to apply to the FAST-IP programme, provided they meet the admission criteria.
Programme Fees
- EU Participants: €9,000 (covered by the scholarship).
- Non-EU Participants: €30,000 (with €9,000 covered by the FAST-IP programme).
