Materials Science and Engineering is an interdisciplinary field that seeks to understand and engineer the relationship between the structure of materials at atomic or molecular scales and their macroscopic or bulk properties.

Our ME (dual accreditation - Engineers Ireland and IOM3) and MEngSc programmes in Materials Science and Engineering Programme complement manufacturing-based engineering by training graduates for R&D and engineering roles in industry sectors as diverse as:
