The Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) program is a full-time undergraduate degree offered by University College Dublin.
Overview
The program provides students with a comprehensive education in business and commerce, covering a wide range of subjects including accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing.
Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirements for the BComm program are as follows:
- O6/H7 in English, Irish, a third language, and two other recognized subjects
- O2/H6 in Mathematics
- CAO points 2025: 555 (Round 1)
Please note that the UCD general entry requirements to full-time Level 8 degree programs in UCD are a minimum of 2 H5 & 4 O6/H7 grades.
Access or Progression Pathway to UCD
There are several access or progression pathways to UCD, including:
- Open Learning Progression Pathway: a flexible module-based, part-time study pathway offered by UCD Access and Lifelong Learning (ALL)
- HEAR and DARE applicants: the Quinn School has a number of places to offer to eligible applicants
- Mature years: applicants who are at least 23 years of age on the 1st January of the year they wish to enter can apply on the grounds of mature years
- QQI-FET Level 5 Award: students with the relevant award can apply for progression to Stage 1 of the Bachelor of Commerce on a competitive basis
- Level 6 Higher Certificate or Level 7 Ordinary Degree: it is possible to apply for admission to stage two of the Bachelor of Commerce on the basis of a Level 6 Higher Certificate or Level 7 Ordinary Degree

The BComm program offers student internships, providing students with the opportunity to gain practical work experience in a business environment.
