Bachelor of Business and Law

The Bachelor of Business and Law is a comprehensive program that combines the study of business and law, providing students with a unique understanding of the interrelationship between these two disciplines.

Overview

In the first three years, students will study both business and law equally, gaining a deep understanding of how businesses operate, their role in society, and the various functions such as accounting, marketing, management, and economics. The law studies will have a commercial focus, alongside important modules about legislation in the area of constitutional law, criminal offences, and contract formation.

What Will I Study?

• In the business area, students will learn about the various functions of a business, including accounting, marketing, management, and economics.
• In the law area, students will study commercial law, constitutional law, criminal offences, and contract formation.
• In the final year, students can choose to specialize in either Business or Law, depending on their preference and career plans.

Career Opportunities

Students who choose to focus more on the business side can pursue careers in corporate finance, management, accountancy, or business analysis, with many graduates pursuing entrepreneurial pathways. Those who choose to focus on law can select modules necessary for legal professional recognition, allowing them to qualify as a solicitor or barrister and work in legal practices in Ireland or abroad.
