The Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) program at University College Dublin (UCD) is designed to develop commercially astute graduates with a global mindset. The program aims to produce graduates who will make a significant contribution to business and broader society.
Program Overview
The BComm program is a comprehensive undergraduate degree that covers a wide range of business disciplines. Students will study core business subjects, including accounting, finance, management, marketing, and human resources. The program is designed to provide students with a solid understanding of the foundations of business and to develop their critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Curriculum
The BComm program is divided into three stages: Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3/4. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a broad-based education in business and to allow them to specialize in a specific area of interest.

- Semester 1: Inside Organisations, Mathematics for Business, Foundations of Management, Business in Society, Effective Learning and Development, Business Law I
- Semester 2: Financial Accounting 1, Microeconomics for Business, Digital Business, Data Analysis for Decision Makers, Business Management Simulation, ELECTIVE
- Stage 2:
- Semester 1: Financial Accounting 2, Macroeconomics for Business, Principles of Finance, Digital Society, Marketing: Firms Customers & Society, ELECTIVE
- Semester 2: Management Accounting, Global Business, Global Operations & Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, +1 Business option module, ELECTIVE
- Stage 3/4:
- Semester 1: Business Strategy, Personal Development Portfolio, People at Work, Business option module, Business option module, ELECTIVE

Programme Goals and Learning Outcomes
The BComm program has six programme goals, which are designed to develop students' critical awareness of business issues, analytical skills, ethical awareness, entrepreneurial skills, communication skills, and commitment to personal and professional excellence.
