First Aid Response Training Course
The First Aid Response Training Course is a 3-day certified course that aims to equip staff with the necessary skills to administer first aid in the workplace.
Objectives
The objectives of the course include:
- First aid in the workplace
- Respiratory emergencies
- Cardiac first response, including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
- Wounds and bleeding
- Altered levels of consciousness
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Burns and scalds; chemicals, electric shock
Content
The course content covers various aspects of first aid, including:
- First aid in the workplace
- Respiratory emergencies
- Cardiac first response, including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
- Wounds and bleeding
- Altered levels of consciousness
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Burns and scalds; chemicals, electric shock
Certification
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) Certificate in First Aid Response, which is valid for two years. A 2-Day Refresher course is required at least every 2 years to recertify.
