Introduction to Safety Induction Training

Overview

The Safety Induction Training is designed for staff and postgraduate students to provide introductory information on health and safety, including an overview of the University's safety policies and procedures.


Objectives

The objectives of the course are to:


  • Introduce participants to the role of the SIRC Office
  • Familiarize participants with the comprehensive number of health and safety guidance documents produced by the SIRC Office
  • Inform participants about the training available from the SIRC Office
  • Introduce workplace health and safety legislation
  • Educate participants on the safety documentation structure in UCD and the University's various safety policies and procedures
