New CVE Offering - Livestock Faecal Egg Counts

The school is offering a new continuing veterinary education program in livestock faecal egg counts.

Program Description

• The program is designed to assist veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and other diagnostic staff in conducting faecal egg counts.
• The program covers the principles, application, and limitations of different faecal examination techniques, as well as the identification of common helminth eggs in domestic animals.
• Students will learn how to perform laboratory procedures to accurately quantify helminth eggs in faecal samples and evaluate the helminth burden of animals.

Program Details

• The program can be completed online and takes approximately six hours to complete.
• Students must complete the course and take the assessment no later than 12 months from the date of registration.
• The program has been approved for 6 CVE credits from the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
• There is a registration fee of 150 for this CVE offering.
