Introduction to Agile Training and Core Competencies
The Agile training program is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver improvements in their work. The program is aligned with the 70/20/10 learning model, which emphasizes the importance of experiential learning, coaching, and formal training.
70/20/10 Learning Model
The 70/20/10 learning model is a framework for learning and development that suggests that:
- 70% of learning comes from delivering improvements and applying skills in a real-world setting
- 20% of learning comes from coaching and mentoring
- 10% of learning comes from formal training
Agile's Training and UCD Core Competencies
The Agile training program is designed to develop skills that are aligned with the UCD Core Competencies. These competencies include:
- Building Relationships: building effective working relationships within own area and more broadly
- Communicating Effectively: engaging in written and oral communication that is clear, unambiguous, transparent, and consistent with UCD's Values

- Building effective working relationships with project sponsors, project teams, and stakeholders
- Understanding the importance of effective communication among teams in managing organisational change
- Building teams and applying tools for effective teaming
- Recognising the key principles and tools for managing change in the organisation

- Taking full responsibility for a project from initiation and planning to implementation and control
