Course Radiation Protection - Basic Level (RPO)

The Basic Radiation Protection course is intended for those who supervise people working with X-ray equipment, accelerators, or radioactive substances. The course is particularly intended for persons who need formal recognition as a radiation protection officer (RPO or in Dutch: TMS).


Target Audience

The course is intended for those who supervise people working with X-ray equipment, accelerators, or radioactive substances.


Recognition and Certification

The TU/e is recognized by the government (ANVS) as an institution for training in the field of radiation protection. The course provides recognition and certification as a radiation protection officer (RPO).


Program

The program consists of seven plenary sessions in the morning, followed by three practical sessions. The course uses a computer-controlled learning environment (StraDos) and the book "Practical Radiation Protection".


Costs

Participants from within the TU/e pay 875, and participants from outside the TU/e pay 1775.

Registration is available for employees of the TU/e and companies on and outside the TU/e Campus.
