Veiligheidskunde & Risicomanagement

Introduction

The Veiligheidskunde & Risicomanagement masterclass provides a theoretical and practical basis for enhancing safety in healthcare. Participants are equipped with tools and concepts to perform, interpret, and manage risk analyses.

Target Group

The target group for this masterclass includes:

• Klinisch fysici (in opleiding)
• Biomedisch Technologen (in opleiding tot QME)
• Other technology professionals working in healthcare

Course Objective

The objective of the course is to provide insight into safety science in healthcare and tools for risk analysis, interpretation, and management. Participants will learn about the Veiligheidsmanagementsysteem (VMS).

Course Structure

The course consists of:

• 2 days of interactive lectures given by experts from practice
• A study load of 2 ECTS
• The course is given once a year
• The course concludes with an individual practical assignment on a safety or risk aspect in the participant's own organization or healthcare institution
• The additional study load for the assignment is approximately 50 hours
• Upon completion and approval of the assignment, participants receive a certificate

The course will take place on Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

The course fee is 1,520.00, which includes:

• 2 course days with review of the assignment
• Preparation and digital course materials
• Lunch and catering
